Shaw Grigsby retirement talk

After 40-plus years as a professional tournament angler, our friend Shaw Grigsby Fan Page fished his final day of fulltime regular-season competition Sunday on the St. Lawrence River. Grigsby went out swinging: he finished 16th at Tackle Warehouse Stop 6 Presented by B&W Trailer Hitches for his astounding 103rd career Top 20.

To say that Shaw's spirit, humor, wisdom, kindness and positivity will be sorely missed on the professional circuits is an understatement. There's only one Shaw Grigsby, and we're all the better for knowing him, watching him fish and teach, and calling him our friend. As so many of his peers responded to social posts on the MLF5 channels throughout the weekend, Shaw is, above all other things, a #LEGEND.
