It Is HOT

It is sooooooo hot. I am waiting to play, the course is pretty stacked today with golfers, even though it is so hot! Truly, why is it that on the hottest day the course is so busy! Doesn’t life work out that way at times. It is frustrating… sitting in the heat waiting to play the next hole. I am thinking that being frustrated makes me feel even hotter. So, I check my attitude and try to get my “enjoying” back on… sweating buckets of sweat, yet I feel like my attitude has cooled down and I am back to enjoying my golf game even if it is hot, and I am waiting in the heat.

Life is like this too… we get ourselves into these really hot situations when the enemy of our soul turns up the heat in our lives. It is so frustrating to wait on God, when everything seems to be burning down around us! Where are you God? Do you see me?? Not a good attitude to have with God! The more we get an attitude, the less peace we have, and the more all we see is the problem at hand, we don’t see God, and we are totally leaning into our circumstances, and only seeing a worldly viewpoint set up by the enemy of our soul. Yet, God is still working in the unseen for our good.

It is hot! Our situation is bad, so we can make it worse with our attitude. We don’t want to sit still in the heat of the battle, we want God to move, we want God to move quickly! God is sometimes a very slow mover, working out the good purposes for us takes more time than we would like. It is so hot, yet God’s methods seem not to reflect our lack of comfort, but seem to make our comfort zone even more smaller. God’s ways are not our ways, but He sure gets things done, He finishes well. We have to remind ourselves of that constantly when we are waiting on the “Karios” timing of God. He comes through in the most critical of moments, and it always surprises us how He does His miraculous intervening in our life situations.

If we let our attitude get out of control as we are waiting on God, because the situation is hot, and we want out of the trial now. We want to see some movement now! Does letting our attitude get out of control and heat up, does it make the situation any less worse, any less hotter? No it doesn’t, it just complicates things more. Our bad attitude in a hot situation, doesn’t make things any less hotter. I am thinking that sometimes when we let our attitude get hot, that God makes us wait longer. So we wait… we learn patient endurance, and we get our attitude underneath the Rulership of God’s Love, and we begin trusting God even in the heat.

Jehovah Nissi, He is our Banner of Victory, our shade from the heat, and as we wait on Him in trust, belief, and patience, we learn patient endurance. There is a cool breeze on the horizon when we patiently endure. When we turn to God for help instead of heating things up with a bad attitude, the coolness of The Living Water of God is hydrating us in all of our really “hot situations” and we are satiated until He changes things up and brings us the Victory.

So golfers, keep a good attitude and make sure you drink plenty of water… stay hydrated in this heat. Enjoy your golf round! God bless ya. Have a great day!
