🎮 Atari Is Buying the SteamWorld Devs for €4.5 Million

Atari is buying a big chunk of Thunderful, the game company behind the SteamWorld series, ISLANDERS, and Lost in Random, for about €4.5 million. The deal gives Atari control of around 82% of Thunderful and helps them grow their presence in Europe.

Thunderful has had some rough years with declining sales, so they’re restructuring by cutting costs, changing leadership, and focusing on what works. For Atari, it’s another smart move after scooping up studios like Nightdive and Digital Eclipse. Looks like Atari’s making a serious comeback in the gaming world!
