On July 29, Doja Cat posted a video mocking Sydney’s exact script, but using an exaggerated Southern accent. She delivered the now infamous line, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour. My jeans are blue,” sounding sarcastic while sneering. The rapper didn’t change the script, just delivered it like a parody. Sweeney’s ad has been under fire since day one, with critics saying it gives off “Nazi propaganda” energy. Some even compared it to something pulled out of 1930s Germany.
