Wings of Mine

Wings of Mine

I was lost in the silence, held down by the storm,
Looking for shelter, just trying to stay warm.
But deep in the dark, I found a sign,
A whisper sayin’, “These wings are mine.”

Tired of waiting, tired of fear,
I wiped my eyes, the sky came near.
And even with scars I still shine,
'Cause these are the wings of mine.

Wings of mine, take me high,
Above the noise, above the lies.
I don’t need gold, I don’t need signs,
Just the wind and these wings of mine.
Let me rise, let me fly,
Even if I touch the sky and cry.
I was born for this climb—
Yeah, these are the wings of mine.

People said I’d never make it through,
But they never saw what I knew.
This heart beats with rhythm and soul,
And I’m learning to let go.

Every fall taught me to bend,
But never once to break or end.
So now I’m ready, now’s the time,
To trust in these wings of mine.

Wings of mine, don’t let me down,
Lift me up when I hit the ground.
I don’t need fame, I don’t need shine,
I just need these wings of mine.
Let me dance, let me burn,
In the fire of the life I earn.
No more fear, no more sign—
I believe in these wings of mine.

Maybe I won't fly forever,
But I’ll soar through every stormy weather.
What I’ve got can’t be defined—
It’s soul, it’s heart, it’s all divine.

Wings of mine, strong and wide,
Carrying hope I’ve kept inside.
Through the tears and through the climb,
I’ve been building these wings of mine.
Let the world watch me shine—
With these beautiful
Wings of mine.
