Videos show damage from magnitude 8.8 quake in Russia's Far East

A magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck off Russia's Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula on Wednesday (July 30), generating a tsunami of up to 4 meters (13 feet), damaging buildings and prompting evacuation warnings in the area, officials said. A kindergarten was damaged.
