Gabriel

“The trumpet has not yet sounded. But Gabriel’s silence is thunder.”

He stood alone atop the broken pillar, wings folded like waiting swords. Below him, the ruins of the world whispered their heresies. But he did not waver.

He remembered the garden before flame. He remembered the first Word.

And he remembers what must be said again.

Gabriel is not wrath. He is not fire. He is not the sword of justice.
He is voice.

The voice of God carried in breath, across time, into womb and into war.
When he speaks, kings kneel, empires fall, and creation listens.

But today, he says nothing.
Because Heaven is listening first.
