Nicaragua Doesn't Have Oranges 🇳🇮 No, Really!

A lot of people claim oranges are everywhere in Nicaragua, but if you are familiar with oranges and come to Nicaragua you are going to be very confused. That's because oranges are so rare here that they qualify as "unheard of" or at least "unseen" and so since people have heard the word and have no idea what it actually is, they use the term to refer to something that they do have instead. Makes sense, but it's super confusing because SO many people don't realize that the Seville Orange or Bitter Orange that is everywhere in Nicaragua isnt' an orange at all, but at least it is a relatively related citrus fruit. Just one that looks, tastes, grows and acts totally different.
