Gameplay Part 6 (Finale)

Dying Light is a 2015 survival horror video game developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game's story follows undercover agent Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a fictional Middle Eastern city called Harran. It features an enemy-infested, open world city with a dynamic day–night cycle, in which zombies are slow and clumsy during daytime and extremely aggressive at night. The gameplay is focused on weapons-based combat and parkour, allowing players to choose fight or flight when presented with dangers.

In this playthrough we cover:

Mission 12: The Clinic:
Crane returns to Old Town and navigates through infested tunnels and sewers to reach Dr. Camden's clinic on the far west side of the map. Inside, he takes out Rais’s bandits and rides a failing elevator down into the facility, which is running on backup power. After escaping the elevator and dealing with infected, Crane finds a keycard in the security room and makes his way to the decontamination chamber—but must restore power first. He traverses through toxic areas, ventilation shafts, and stockrooms to reach the generator room, where he activates two of three working units. With power restored, Crane returns to Camden, delivers the bolter tissue samples, and attempts to contact the GRE—only to be intercepted by Rais, setting the stage for their final confrontation.

Mission 13: Extraction:
After Rais intercepts Crane's attempted contact with the GRE, he challenges him to a final confrontation at his tower in the Slums. With his infection weakening him and his grappling hook disabled, Crane pushes through hordes of infected, a volatile-infested tunnel, and collapsing scaffolds to reach Rais's heavily fortified compound. As he scales the towering structure, Rais taunts him over speakers, and Crane battles through virals, bombers, and even a Demolisher while navigating dangerous cranes and mined floors. At the top, the two face off in a brutal QTE knife fight, ending with Crane fatally stabbing Rais and retrieving Dr. Zere’s research data from his body. When the GRE orders him to leave Harran, Crane defies them—choosing to stay and help the survivors—just before the screen fades to black with the iconic message: “Good night, and good luck.”

EXPcalibur Sword Easter Egg:
The EXPcalibur sword can be found on the southeast portion of the slums, along the shoreline near Fisherman's Village in a bay-like area. There is a small rocky island off the coast in the water that Kyle must swim to and he will find the sword in a body on the far side of the rock. To pull the sword out, hold the action button for about 2 minutes to release the sword. Once removed, the body which the sword was impaled in will burn and can kill you if you stand in the flames. After the body has burnt away the blueprint for the sword is revealed as well.
