Fourth Victim Identified as Unarmed Security Guard Aland Etienne, 46 — Shooter Took Own Life as NYPD Stormed Building

The fourth victim of Monday night’s mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan has been identified as Aland Etienne, 46, an unarmed security guard who was on duty inside 345 Park Avenue. Etienne was one of four people fatally shot by 27-year-old gunman Shane Tamura took his own life as soon as he heard NYPD officers storm the floor he was on. He shot himself in the chest because he believed he was suffering from a football-related CTE-related brain injuries and wanted scientists to study his brain.
