Resident Evil 7 - Part 15

I'm not going to lie, with Jack now gone, some of the tension of the game has now lifted as you now know he's not going to pop out at any random moment. You get a sort of similar feeling in RE2 playing as Claire when Mr. X is taken out partway through the game.

In survival horror games that have action elements like Resident Evil, its sort of difficult to maintain a constant state of fear as the game progresses. You get more weaponry, become less vulnerable, and the number of prominent enemies start to dwindle. That being said, if you get too comfortable, you'll find yourself hiding in a safe room with next to no ammo, and blood thirsty monsters waiting outside the room. Being an RE veteran I know that in normal mode you generally have enough ammo to take out every monster in the game...generally. No matter how many bullets you have resource management is still a thing that can separate life and death even on easier difficulties.

With the crow key in hand I make my way back to the main old house to try and slip past Marguarite. As a general rule of thumb in Resident Evil games, if you get a key that unlocks new areas, its best to scour the map for areas you passed by previously to see if you can access them. I knew a showdown with Marguarite was coming and I wanted to be ready.
