Saint Eusebius - Courageous Defender of the Faith

I have to admit that I’m partial to saints who showed great courage in defending or promoting their faith and St. Eusebius (You-See-Bee-Us) is one of them. His feast day is August 2nd and he lived in the 4th century where there was much persecution and heresy that took place.

St. Eusebius didn’t die for his faith, but instead endured exile, much suffering, and yet remained firm in his faith. He can be an inspiration for those of you who may be called to endure suffering for your Catholic faith. Maybe it will come in the form of being made fun of, or ridiculed, or excluded from family or friends. May we all pray for the intercession of St. Eusebius for the courage to persevere in our faith!! St. Eusebius, pray for us!!
