The Weird Psychology of the White Empire w/Indi.ca - Psychlib ep.4

In this new Psychlib episode, the RIF team discuss with Sri Lankan blogger Indi.ca the psychology of living in and out of the Empire. We discuss personal journeys through identity and colonialism, the awakening to global realities, and the psychological toll of living in the belly of the beast. We examine the role of whiteness in colonial structures We examine the nature of capitalism and Indi's idea that Capital can be seen as the first artificial intelligence, powered by a ruthless algorithm that turns companies into persons and people into commodities. We examine the psychological mechanisms of alienation, and the significance of resistance to imperial domination. Finally we discuss why calling it the White Empire my be the most appropriate denomination for and the role whiteness plays at the heart of it.
