🔧 FTT 210 Week 6 – Rear Stock Shaping, Trigger Installation & Trigger Guard Inletting
📚 Sonoran Desert Institute – Customizing & Woodworking
🎯 Topic: Rear Stock Shaping & Trigger Assembly

In this video, I take the next step in customizing my Traditions Shenandoah .50 caliber percussion rifle by shaping the rear stock, installing the trigger, and precisely inletting the trigger guard. This process ensures both a comfortable grip and proper function of the fire control system.

After installing the trigger, I carefully measured and removed material to form the grip area, improving the overall feel and balance of the rifle. The trigger guard was hand-inletted using traditional methods to achieve a clean, flush fit in the birch or beech hardwood stock.

🛠️ Key Tasks:
• Rear stock shaping for comfort and control
• Trigger installation and alignment
• Trigger guard inletting (precision hand-fit)

🪵 Wood type: Birch or Beech (factory stock)
📏 Tools: Chisels, files, inletting black, layout scribe
