GETTING STARTED
• Save the file SC_PPT365_2021_8a_Mac_FirstLastName_1.pptx as SC_PPT365_2021_8a_Mac_FirstLastName_2.pptx
o Edit the file name by changing “1” to “2”.
o If you do not see the .pptx file extension, do not type it. The file extension will be added for you automatically.
• With the file SC_PPT365_2021_8a_Mac_FirstLastName_2.pptx open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
o If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy.

PROJECT STEPS
1. As part of your duties working in the Security Department at Calhoun College in Tulsa, OK, you need to create a PowerPoint presentation that informs new students about emergency procedures.

Switch to Slide Master view, then modify the Title slide layout as follows to emphasize the subtitle and balance the design of the title slide:
a. Change the width of the photo to 12.06" while leaving the height at 3.1" so the photo spans the width of the slide.
b. Change the subtitle to use a 20-point font size.
2. Still in Slide Master view, modify the Title and Content layout to use Background Style 5 to add visual interest to the slide layout. Exit Slide Master view.
3. Switch to Handout Master view, then customize the Handout master as follows:
a. Enter Emergency Procedures as the header text.
b. Change the font size of the header text to 18-point.
c. Change the handout orientation to Landscape.
d. Exit Handout Master view.
4. Switch to Notes Page view. On the Notes page for slide 2, add the following note, then switch back to Normal view:
Calhoun College wants you to be safe.
5. Switch to Notes Master view, then customize the Notes Master as follows:
a. Change the font for notes to Gill Sans MT to match the font used in the presentation.
b. Enter Calhoun College as the footer text.
c. Change the font size of the footer text to 18 point.
d. Set an option to remove the date from the notes.
Exit Notes Master view and return to Normal view.
6. Check the accessibility of the presentation to make sure all viewers can understand the slides. Go to the slide that contains the accessibility error, and then type Add alt text as a note for that slide.
7. Create a summary zoom slide to display at the end of the presentation as follows:
a. Include slides 2–6 in the summary zoom slide.
b. Type Emergency Procedures Summary as the title of the summary zoom slide.
c. Move the Summary section to the end of the presentation.
8. Set up the slide show so that each slide is displayed for 1 second before automatically advancing to the next slide with no mouse clicks.
9. Create a custom slide show that focuses on weather emergencies only as follows:
a. Use Weather as the name of the custom slide show.
b. Include slides 1, 2, 3, and 5 in the custom slide show.
In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
