For years, Governor Arnold Palacios of the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) has tried to root out corruption tied to CCP influence operations and Chinese money. Most recently, in April 2025 he sent a letter calling for an investigation that he had “considerable evidence” to provide directly to the FBI. It involved a casino on Saipan called Imperial Palace.
