Siskel & Ebert: 4-9-88

Note: Don Gorelick's recording has terrible fuzzy reception throughout some areas and was enough to carry Larry Koehn's recording into the mix of a few reviews. Also, I fixed the out-of-sync audio.

Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert reviews "Colors" (Dennis Hopper directs an urban L.A. gritty action controversial drama between the relationship of two cops, a rookie and a veteran both played with perfection of Sean Penn and Robert Duvall and the dark alley of gangbangers on the streets. It's an excellent picture!); "18 Again!" (While it's another formulaic "Body Switching" Comedy, I still enjoy it with the Legendary George Burns! Also stars, Charlie Schlatter, Pauly Shore and Anita Morris.); "Above The Law" (An awesome Action and Martial Arts film from director, Andrew Davis and stars Aikido artist, Steven Seagal in his film debut as Nico Toscani. Along with Pam Grier, Sharon Stone and Henry Silva.) and "Bad Dreams" (A Horrible Slasher Film about a Cult Leader who appears in the Tortured Girl's Dream after awakens in a coma at a Psychiatric Hospital, recovering from her suicidal tendencies. Directed By Andrew Fleming in his debut before "The Craft" and "Hamlet 2". Starring: Jennifer Rubin, Richard Lynch, Harris Yulin, Bruce Abbott and Dean Cameron.)

Home Video: While Penn was given some troubled publicity at that time, Ebert picks three great films of his with "Bad Boys" (1983); "The Falcon and the Snowman" (1985) and "At Close Range" (1986). And a recap of Today's program.
