Novation Launchpad Pro Mk III Repaired (Midi Sequencer)

So I bought this expensive bit of kit like 18 months ago to be the "brain" of my hardware synthesizers but it was rather expensvive and it turns out its a total nightmare to figure out how to use as "Standalone" (I dont want to use ANY computers in my music setup, I want it ALL analogue).
So anyway I couldnt figure out how to use it (or have the time to) and most tutorials online are about how to use it with Ableton Live (PC Software).
As I only use Ableton Live for the recording part, not the arrangement/composition or control of my synthezisers I needed something like this and because most people are PC based music producers (they lack the style or doing it the difficult way), there are ZERO tutorials on how to use it for hardware setups insread of PC.
Long story short, it sat there gathering nicotine stains and not getting used, so I wanted to sell it and buy something less alien to use for my hardware setup.
Anyways, I plugged it in to use after scrubbin the velocity pads clean with a cream cleaner as suggested by a.i (just use a.i bro) none of the fucking buttons worked at all and I was going to have to send it to Novation for repair or a replacement.
I then realised that cream cleaners are powder based and though it may look clean on the outside, there could be another issue.
Now opening it up would void the warranty, but if it was my fault, I would lose the warranty anyway and it would cost me just as much as I paid to repair it.
I cant afford £350 for another that I was going to sell anyway.
So, I opened it up (No instructions on how to do it online btw, its a very new to the market specialised piece of hardware).
Got it open and it looked like this nightmare. The cream cleaner (I used sparingly btw) had leaked in and had burst a fluid battery component.
So the battery acid had ate into the capacitive touch and none of the 64 touch sensitive velocity pads were working.
Also, the cream cleaner and battery acid had stripped away the carbon pads used for the capacitive touch parts of the velocity pads so contact wouldnt work for the 2056 layers of sensitivity for each pad.
So I neautralised the battery acid with a lye mix and used 80% isopropyl mix to remove the lye and the cream cleaner.
I bathed the velocity pads in Motorcycle degreaser (for the nicotine staining on the rubber) over night.
Changed over 4 destroyed capacitors in the circuit and then used a stick of sketching charcoal (for drawing) I turned into a very fine powder (its pure carbon).
I applied the carbon from the charcoal sticks to the capacitive touch components where the carbon had been stripped and reassembled.

Done!
