Welcome. 13C this morning. The sun is getting up later. 6 Weeks left for Summer. Just over 10 weeks of growth for anything that doesn’t harvest above ground, except for hardy plants like Kale, which I have yet to eat yet as my other garden foods have kept me full and busy. I should make some crispy kale.

The beetle egg laying on the squash leaves seems to be diminishing, so they might be coming to the end of their life cycle. A zucchini got away from me and grew a little too big, but we’ll try to pickle it anyway.

The beans are still producing poorly, only a handful for supper each day. And I really need to dig up those potatoes in the raised bed. The inground taters are far more healthy according to the leaf tops, so we’ll let those produce until the tops give out.

The raspberry bush is almost done, but the Bird Shit Berry Bush jam lives on. I’ve been putting some into the middle of the No Knead Bread recipe before I fold over the dough before putting it in the parchment paper in this recipe. It adds a wonderful flavour and the jam steams up through the top of the bread: https://rumble.com/v6ug5wx-occams-razor-gardening-cooking-and-canning-no-knead-dutch-oven-bread.html?e9s=src_v1_ucp_a

Butch is flowering before the other Sunflowers. That makes none surviving in the backyard this year and only 3 to make it in the front yard. That’s my worst year for sunflowers.

The Squash plant in the front has another zucchini for me, and we have yet to see a confirmed pumpkin start yet.
