Old Drama New Day Let’s Chat. There’s been a lot of misinformation and one-sided narratives around the Cardi B and Rah Ali situation especially when it comes to what actually went down at that NYFW event. So in this video, we’re breaking it all the way down: what happened, who was involved, and why the “Rah hit Cardi while she was alone” storyline just doesn’t make sense.

Let’s be clear: Cardi B was not alone that night. She had her security with her, and the whole situation was chaotic from start to finish. Yet the way people tell it, you’d think Rah Ali caught her slipping, no backup, and ran up on her by herself. That’s not what happened. It was messy, and it involved more people than just Rah.

Here’s the real tea: Rah Ali saw Cardi B with her security present and still made a move. That says a lot. It wasn’t some random fight — it was calculated. Rah knew she had backup. She knew Cardi was being held back. And still, she decided to take her shot. Some are calling it brave, but let’s be honest — when your security is holding someone down while you swing? That’s not bravery. That’s being a bully.

And that’s why Rah looked nervous the next time she saw Cardi. Because if Cardi had matched the same energy, if she was on the same kind of time Rah was on that night things would’ve been way worse. Rah knew it. Cardi knew it. Everybody watching knew it.

Let’s talk about this one-track mindset people have. Folks are acting like just because Cardi called out Rah, that means only Rah hit her. Like security couldn’t have touched her, too. As if only one person can be held accountable in a chaotic situation. That’s just not how this works.

Two things can be true. Security could’ve been aggressive, and Rah could’ve taken advantage of the moment. Just because Cardi said, “Rah hit me,” doesn’t mean she’s denying that security did too. It means Rah was part of the problem and likely the one who took it too far.

People forget: Cardi was surrounded. She didn’t have a full view of everything happening. She saw men, she saw women, and she felt hands on her. Whether it was Rah, security, or someone else it was too many people, too much going on, and not enough accountability.

If that was you, wouldn’t you be ready to fight everybody who laid hands on you too?

And let’s not act like Rah just did this out of nowhere. This wasn’t her beef. It wasn’t her place. But Rah has been holding on to a grudge since the Love & Hip Hop days. Back when Cardi and her sister Hennessy were doing their thing, Rah clearly felt some kind of way.

So when this NYFW moment came up, Rah took the opportunity. It wasn’t even about defending anyone it was about finally getting her hit in. That’s the part people gloss over. This wasn’t loyalty. It was personal.

So now you’ve got a woman jumping into a fight that wasn’t hers, security stepping in heavy-handed, and Cardi being held back and attacked. That’s not a fair fight. That’s a setup.

Cardi B has been very vocal about what happened that night but that doesn’t mean she has to name every single person involved. People want a play-by-play breakdown from her, like she was calm and taking notes during a physical altercation. She was being restrained. She was being hit. And she was reacting to protect herself.

So yes she wants accountability. And yes she’s speaking on Rah Ali specifically because Rah chose to get involved. Cardi had every right to defend herself against anyone who participated, directly or indirectly. But we’re seeing the same old pattern: when she reacts, suddenly she’s labeled as aggressive. Meanwhile, the ones who jumped her get framed as “defending themselves.” Make it make sense.

The way this story has been twisted online just proves how quick people are to villainize Black women who stand up for themselves especially outspoken ones like Cardi B. They say, “she’s ghetto,” “she’s too emotional,” or “she should’ve known better.” But when she gets attacked? People are silent.

Let’s be real if this was the other way around and Cardi was the one who hit Rah while she was being held by security, y’all wouldn’t be calling it self-defense. Y’all would be saying Cardi is out of control. So let’s stop the double standards.

So What’s the Real Story?
• Rah has had a long-standing issue with Cardi and Hennessy from Love & Hip Hop.
• Cardi didn’t know exactly who hit her, but she had the right to defend herself against everyone involved.
• This was never about self-defense — it was about bullying someone when you thought they were vulnerable.

Do you think Rah acted out of loyalty, or was this her chance to settle an old grudge?
Was Cardi justified in calling everyone out who put hands on her?
