No More Dollars in Nicaragua? 🇳🇮

With a new law about US Dollar and Nicaraguan cordoba currency in effect in Nicaragua, people are worried about what this might mean for tourists and expats.

Honestly this is super bizarre. There is no way that Nicaragua is going to just casually eliminate the dollar. But even if they did, who cares? We is anyone concerned about this? Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica aren't on the dollar and no one cares at all. El Salvador went from being on the dollar to being on both the dollar and BitCoin and no one worried about the demise of the dollar. How would Nicaragua not using the dollar truly impact anyone? If anything it might make life simpler. No need for the double bank accounts or things printed with both currencies or doing exchanges. Most people who live here can go months without seeing dollars, they aren't used in normal transactions day to day. At most the process would create a few weeks of inconvenience as people switched over and within a month, no one would even remember that it happened.

So all of this concern is over a fake issue that would have no impact even if it were true? Pretty silly if you ask me.
