Three iconic American mayonnaise brands — each with a fiercely loyal fan base.
But what happens when two curious Brits whip up their own homemade mayo from scratch… and taste test them ALL, blindfolded?

In this video, we’re diving headfirst into the great American mayo debate — with a twist of British charm, honest reactions, and one surprising result.

🧠 A Little Mayo History (Because We’re Food Nerds Too)
🇺🇸 Duke’s Mayonnaise – Born in South Carolina in 1917 by Eugenia Duke. Famous in the South for its bold tang, no sugar, and iconic regional pride.

🇺🇸 Hellmann’s – Created in New York City in 1913, this is the global classic. Smooth, creamy, familiar — what most of the world pictures when they think “mayonnaise.”

🇺🇸 Blue Plate – The wildcard for us! Our first time ever tasting this New Orleans favourite, established in 1927. Many say it’s the “best-kept secret” of the Deep South.

We respect every one of these brands and what they mean to different parts of America — and this was one of the most fascinating (and flavourful!) tests we've done.
