Cheap - $5000 - unmanned ground vehicle for IED reconnaissance without needing to approach a suspect bomb with your life. Made for truck drivers so they wouldn't need to wait for Engineers to investigate a possible roadside bomb like a pressure cooker IED.
Demonstrated to work on investigating culverts.
All you do is drive MUGV with an explosive payload up to the suspect device and BIP it - blow in place - by pushing a button and detonating the IED through a sympathetic detonation. No knowledge of EOD required. Drive, then press button.

Outcome? Engineers refused to support the idea because that would mean logistics personnel would have access to explosives. The SAME people that drive truckloads of explosives to engineers worksites.

As a defence scientist, this is what you deal with, and you rarely get acknowledgement or support.
