Severe Food Crisis In Gaza

Gaza's hunger crisis has reached catastrophic levels... with the United Nations saying there is now famine across most of the strip.
More than 159 Palestinians have now died from starvation, with aid distribution becoming a death trap for many Palestinians.
With the UN struggling to deliver aid into Gaza - those notorious GHF food sites are one of the few places many Palestinians can go to get food.

Crowds of starving Palestinians in northern Gaza have been scrambling to get food any way they can. Israel is severely limiting the volume of aid getting into the north, meaning many return home to their families with nothing to eat.

Al Jazeera’s Ibrahim Al Khalili reports.

Al Jazeera's Tareq Abu Azzoum reports from Deir el-Balah, central Gaza. He says that people are expecting little from Witkoff’s visit to the GHF site. He adds that since the GHF took over [aid distribution] operations, getting food has become very dangerous and humiliating. Many Palestinians have begun to view the GHF not as a humanitarian actor, but as a symbol of control and manipulation.

Gaza needs up to 600 aid trucks every day, just to meet basic humanitarian needs of the starving population.
But Israel has only been allowing a fraction of that to enter the Strip - around 67 trucks a day on average.
With so little aid, warehouses remain empty – and the humanitarian situation in Gaza is still dire.

Getting food in Gaza is no longer simple — it’s a matter of survival.

A single mother of two shares her harrowing experience as she visits a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation site just to find something to eat. What should be a basic human right has become, in her words, a “death journey.”

Through her story, we witness the daily struggle, fear, and courage faced by thousands under siege.
