I'm excited to present this interview with Dr. Joseph Nicolosi Jr. to discuss his newly published research on the efficacy of some of the brief memory reconsolidation interventions we use in Reintegrative Therapy to decrease unwanted sexual arousal templates! He recently published the results from a randomized, placebo-controlled study of over 100 men and women who had either heterosexual and homosexual sexually arousing memories they wanted to decrease in arousal, vividness, and emotionality so they can more easily live in accordance with their values. For most participants, the interventions produced reductions that were maintained upon one-week and one-month follow-ups.
