Protecting Your Purpose in Turbulent Times | A Call to Stand

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28

Paul writes, “we know” and “all things work together for good…” But do we believe this? Do we trust that God is actively working on our behalf—protecting the purpose He placed in us—even during intense seasons of pressure like the Dire Straits?

When Paul penned these words in Romans 8, he intended for Believers to share a confident understanding: “we know” points to a collective assurance. Even in turbulent times like the Dire Straits, we can be certain that “all things work together for good”—there is divine purpose in the pressure.

The Dire Straits—a three-week period of mourning and reflection—conclude on the 9th of Av, which falls on August 3 in 2025. As you reflect on Romans 8 during this time, let it anchor you in this truth: the pressure you’ve faced is not in vain. God is not only using it for good, but He is also protecting the purpose He has given you through it.
