to obtain food for his family,
received lentils from Anthony Aguilar
and kissed his hand in gratitude before
being shot dead by Israeli forces.

• Anthony Aguilar is a retired U.S. Green Beret and former officer with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), who alleged in a BBC interview that he witnessed Israeli forces using indiscriminate and brutal force against starving Palestinian civilians, including the killing of a child named Amir moments after receiving aid. He described the incident as the most brutal he had ever seen in his military career and claimed it led to his resignation from the GHF, stating he witnessed war crimes committed by Israeli Defense Forces and U.S. contractors
