WE PICK UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF in our review and commentary on a recent episode of Ace Metaphor's popular "Tonight's Conversation" podcast. The sheer length of the podcast itself - coming in at 50 minutes, when a typical episode is just over half that(!), underscores a point I made last night: That everyone in Black America knows that "Black Love" has become transactional, and has been for quite some time now. Despite attempts to blame it on social media, rap music or some other social ill, the historical record - in this case coming in the form of cultural artifacts like popular songs and music sung by and catering to Black women themselves over the past four decades(!) - proves otherwise. Join yours truly as we continue to put the quiet part on blast: That Transactional Black Love, is now the norm of dating and mating in 21st century Black America, TONIGHT ONLY ON RUMBLE!
