Exploring Madrid Spain: Templo de Debod

Join me for a look at the ancient Egyptian Templo de Debod in Madrid, Spain.

The temple was originally built in the early 2nd century B.C. in Nubia, southern Egypt. It was moved to Madrid in the 1960s when construction of the Aswan High Dam threatened to submerge many ancient sites in Nubia, including Debod, under the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
