Dear Merica, It's time for a quick chat. Yes, everything seems to be going well for President Trump and his tariffs. So much so that, for the first time in a long time, there was a budget surplus. At least, if you don't dig too deep into the figures and the report from the CBO (Trump's own accountants, you might say), which predicts a deficit of $1.9 trillion by the end of 2025. Yep, trillion with a T... All the savings that seemed to be made by Doge and other projects to end all unnecessary money-wasting projects seem to be turning out to be a complete zero operation (or worse). Inflation, the silent assassin, is beginning to take hold and do its destructive work...
