War of the Worlds - An Utterly SHAMELESS Adaptation

Amazon’s War of the Worlds movie is a horrific adaptation of an iconic story that lacks both excitement and shame, as discussed in this War of the Worlds movie review. The world-ending action taking place is not viewed from the perspective of someone fighting for survival on the ground, but rather it’s viewed entirely virtually, from the comfort of Ice Cube’s air-conditioned office where his butt is firmly planted on a mesh chair. That’s right: this entire movie is shown through a computer screen. And as if having the action and emotions feels as distant as they would over a Microsoft Teams call wasn’t bad enough, by the end of War of the Worlds, Amazon had completely morphed this movie into a marketing vessel for their own delivery services. And to top it all off, the movie's core concept is one of the stupidest things you'll hear this year. Yes, Amazon’s War of the Worlds is an utterly shameless adaptation that’s not worthy of the name and I’m sure HG Wells is rolling over in his grave.
