Episode 1057: What is God saving us from?

Hello everyone. In this morning's Bible study we continue walk through the walk the Lord described to the church at Smyrna as the "blasphemy of the Jews".

So what is the blasphemy of the Jews? Jesus is speaking of the sacrifices, the morning and evening sacrifices of the lambs for the which were for the sins of the Nation not necessarily the people.

The individual Jew had to bring a specific type of animal for their sins and the sins of their families. It was income based.

The Jews did what the Gentiles will eventually do, which is despise God's way to salvation. Romans 10:1-4 (NKJV)
1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

That's the problem with the religion of Satan, the religion of Cain, the religion of Antiochus, the religion of the Beast, and the religion of anyone else who decides to bypass the cross in a futile attempt to please and be acceptable to God.

Religion declares its either Christ plus my works or my works without Christ. Neither will get you anywhere near God nor heaven.

The scriptures reveals that this wicked scheme concocted by the devil will be prevalent in every age but hitting a credenza during the 7-year tribulation. The AntiChrist who is the Beast will not only declare that he doesn't need Christ to get to God but that he is god therefore you need to come through my false prophet to come to me.

Well the Lord has a more perfect plan since He is Lord of all and the Creator.
