Occam’s Razor Gardening, Cooking & Canning Ep 73

Welcome. It’s another chilly morning, around 12C, and all the footage I took didn’t take. So I reshot in the afternoon. It’s been a busy day making bread, canning more zucchini, scraping more beetle eggs off squash leaves,

I finally dug up the most wilted potato plant and made some fries to go with some fresh beans saute’d in olive oil and garlic oil for 4 min at medium heat & then simmer with soya sauce for 4 min, and then let rest for 4 min. I have these almost every night, much better than boring boiled/steamed beans with salt & butter.

Butch is attracting pollinators and has vibrant colours. The large squash plant near the morning glories has vine bores at the base, so I’ve buried the vine in dirt down it’s grown to sprout new roots to take over from the invaded base. It’s those white butterflies you see flying around laying their brood.
