Welcome to the Show.

In 1953, British and American intelligence orchestrated Operation Ajax to overthrow Iran’s Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, who had nationalized Iran’s oil industry, challenging British control. The CIA funded propaganda, bribed officials, and supported military leaders to back the Shah’s rule. After days of violent protests and 300 deaths, Mosaddegh was removed, replaced by a pro-Western government that expanded the Shah’s power and restored foreign control over oil. This coup deeply impacted Iran’s sovereignty and fueled long-term resentment toward foreign interference.
