(RAD: Trump claims that one of his reasons for high tariffs on imports is to bring key manufacturing back to the US. He also wants to invest in massive AI Data Centers in an effort to catch up to China. Unfortunately, these high tariffs are a primary reason that won't happen.

New AI Data Centers & advanced manufacturing require a lot of electricity. But our power grid hasn't increased capacity in the past 10 years and there are no significant projects for creating significant new power capacity. It would take too long & too many large nuclear power plants to make a dent in this requirement & they aren't being built.

To make matters worse, new data centers & manufacturing plants need large transformers to step down the high voltage from the power lines so that it can be used in the business. Estimated deliveries for these large transformers is 3 to 5 years. Only 20% are made in the US. India makes 60% & China 20%, but Trump has placed very high tariffs for imports from these countries. Even if he makes an exception, they might not even want to ship to us because of his bad-mouthing of these countries.

AI Data Centers use huge amounts of water, primarily for cooling of the electronics. Adequate water isn't available where Trump wants to build this new capacity. When push comes to shove, families could be severely restricted in how much water they can use, just like what has happened in California & other places.

Many additional issues are covered in this analysis by Mike Adams. At the moment there is no high priority national strategy on how to resolve these many issues. In the meantime, China will continue advancing their manufacturing capacity and making major advances with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Other countries are also moving forward. Remember that the BRICS countries are cooperating with each other and already control about 60% of the world GDP. — RAD)
