Donald Trump has confirmed that two US nuclear submarines are now closer to Russia as a consequence of Dmitry Medvedev’s threats to the US national security. President Trump has also confirmed that the US will impose sanctions on Russia if Vladimir Putin fails to come to the table. ISW has published an article stressing that Russia is not ready to negotiate and is looking for a deal that is akin to Ukraine’s capitulation. David Lammy has also stated that Ukraine is fighting against all odds with Western support and he thinks that at some point next year peace talks would commence. The situation on the Pokrovsk front is deteriorating for the Ukraine army, as Russian sabotage units keep causing damage.
