What If They Never Change? How to Love with Boundaries, Not Blindness

Wishing your partner would change doesn’t make you controlling.
It makes you human.
But here’s the hard truth:
You can’t make someone change.
What you can do is communicate clearly—with love, but also with truth.

You can say:
“I see who you are. I care about you. But this pattern is hurting me—and us.”
You can say:
“You’re free to be who you are. And I’m free to make decisions based on what I can or cannot live with.”

Loving someone well doesn’t mean tolerating what’s destroying you.

Boundaries aren’t punishments. They’re clarity.
And sometimes, the most powerful way to invite change… is to stop protecting someone from the impact of their choices.
