Texas Lawmakers Flee to Avoid Redistricting Vote

In an effort to avoid a vote that would cost Texas Democrats a 5 seat loss, various lawmakers have boarded their private jet and headed for Illinois, a state that has historically mastered the art of Gerrymandering. Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul speaks out against the move by Texas Republicans. The Texas Democrats have been given a 3pm deadline to join the vote, or risk abandoning their positions, per Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
