Psalm 7 – A Prayer for Justice and Protection from False Accusers

Psalms Chapter 7 is a bold prayer for justice from a heart that knows it’s been falsely accused.
David calls out not just for deliverance, but for discernment. He says, in essence, “Lord, search me. If I’m guilty, let me fall — but if I’m innocent, rise up for me.”

The psalm captures the full range of righteous emotion: sorrow, surrender, longing for justice, and faith in God's perfect judgment.
“God is a just judge… My defense is of God… Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end.”

“I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness…”
