SPIDER CAVE

Three men entered the cave one evening, drawn by rumors of treasure buried deep within. Armed with torches and quiet resolve, they made their way into the darkness. After some time, the path split in two. Two of the men chose the right passage, their instincts guiding them toward safety. But the third man either brave or foolish went left, into the narrower tunnel, ignoring their calls to turn back. Moments after he disappeared into the shadows, a heavy rumble echoed through the cave. A massive rock broke loose and crashed down behind him, sealing off the path. The man was alone. He pressed forward into the darkness, unaware that he had stepped into the lair of something far worse than any legend. From the crevices, dozens of glistening eyes stared back. The poisonous spiders were large, fast, and silent descended upon him. He screamed once, then the cave was silent again. When the others later returned with help, they found only bones, webbing, and silence where their friend had vanished.
