Honey Pilsner But Now A Honey Jalapeño Pale Ale

Was going to homebrew a honey pilsner but the temperature control device I bought didn't work as I expected. So, I'm now attempting to turn the honey pilsner into a honey jalapeño pale ale/pseudo-lager/pilsner.
