Sailing [feat. Squishface]

This track is so mysterious, intriguing: Squishface never gives us the whole story. We gather it's about some repressed trauma they've experienced: but in a way where he's exercising that trauma through a character similar but unlike himself, as a means to become whole.

The themes are of relationship, hardship and failure come from the perspective of a sailor character, in a cry for help moment, with possible suicidal ideations. The character feels to be in a heighted, manic, energetic, free, unfiltered, and oversharing to his detriment; also in an moody emotional depression. Blaming themselves for all that went wrong.

The character is hopelessly holding out for her to come back, but holding the stain of what he did: withholding himself, his emotions, and feelings from her; his weakness; out of his fear of being found out for being more of a loser than he let on, than she thought he was.

We suppose the front he put up that landed her fell apart. We get the impression this isn't the first time this has happened and that the character is incapable of change, or at least has a history of blowing it, getting her to come back, can't change, repeat. But this time its really over.

Seems the trauma of the situation spurred the character to be vulnerable; but the vulnerability feels like a dangerous stepping stone to something tragic if he isn't careful.

Perhaps sailing to nowhere is them realizing the hopelessness of his destiny if he doesn't become proactive in his life; could be for the better in that manner, if he take constructive action to better himself; but certainly for the worse if he overacts in a darker tragic way: waiting on the pier knowing she really isn't coming back, and dwelling on his dark feeling and defeated attitude.

We're not certain but we think this song has the most to do with THE CHOCOLATE FROSTING INCIDENT! But he wont tell us, what a poop. He just keeps changing the subject, and giving us different stories every time he explains.
