Pastor Steven L. Anderson founded Faithful Word Baptist Church on Christmas Day, 2005, in Phoenix, Arizona, and continues to lead the congregation in the heart of the Phoenix area. He was sent out by Regency Baptist Church in Sacramento, California, to start a New Testament church dedicated to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

Expect no contemporary or liberal messages here. Pastor Anderson is an old-fashioned, independent, fundamental, King James Bible-only, hellfire, and damnation, soul-winning Baptist preacher committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching God’s Word without compromise. He stands firmly on the unshakable truths of the Word of God and the timeless values of traditional Christianity.

Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Pastor Anderson has dedicated his life to ministry, preaching in churches across five continents and winning souls in over 17 countries. His journey began at 18, when he spent three months in Germany and Eastern Europe, serving local independent Baptist churches and studying languages—a passion that fuels his mission to bring the Gospel to people of all languages. On this trip, he met his future wife, Zsuzsanna, while soul-winning in Munich, Germany, and soon led her to the Lord. They have now been blessed with 25 years of marriage and 12 children.

A polyglot, Pastor Anderson has read the New Testament in 17 languages and the entire Bible in 7, including Greek, Hebrew, and Latin. His commitment to reaching people in their own language extends through Faithful Word Baptist Church’s annual November missions conference, where pastors and laymen share the missions they’ve undertaken in the past year.

His congregation is a family-integrated fellowship, standing for salvation by "faith alone" and "once saved, always saved." They are united in their dedication to reaching lost souls through door-to-door evangelism, social media, and global missions.
