4 dead after medical transport plane crashes while landing in Arizona

Four people were killed when a medical transport plane crashed and caught fire while landing at Chinle Municipal Airport in Arizona’s Navajo Nation on Tuesday.

The Beechcraft 300, owned by CSI Aviation, was en route to pick up a patient when it went down.

The cause of the crash is unknown, and the FAA and NTSB are investigating.

Authorities called it a tragic loss for the victims’ families and the medical and first responder community, ABC News has reported.

The airport remains closed during the investigation.
