Burned Out the Original! Changing My 6CM Barrel for the First Time!

Well, it has finally happened. My original barrel on my Impact action in 6 Creedmoor has reached the end of it's life. I am doing my very first barrel change on my own and we shall all see how this whole process goes!

This is an Impact Precision 737R action and I originally ordered it with their Bartlein barrel chambered by Stuteville Precision. After I had what I consider excellent results from the very start, I just ordered an identical barrel and they told me I can do the job myself.
I had ordered the action wrench with my first order, just in case I ever needed it for any reason.
This last weekend, I put it to use!
It was actually super easy. Barrel clamp the barrel in place and break the action free. Then we put on some anti seize to the threads and I wiped out the gunk from my action that I can't usually reach the few times I do clean things. Then I just tightened it on and went to 80 ft. lbs. on the torque wrench and we called it a day!
I got everything assembled back into the chassis and loaded up to go shoot! Then my friend reminded me I should run some patches through to make sure it's clean of any production oils. I did that at my range, then loaded up a few and took my shot. Everything seemed to work right so I kept going.
Got the first 5 and the 4 I was paying attention on grouped well.
Then the 2nd group of 5 grouped well.
Then my 3rd, and final for the day, grouped even better!

I should have this broken in faster than I thought and will be getting on to forming my match brass to this new chamber a little earlier than originally planned. I will be watching for speeds to settle and then I will get it all done. Trying to take my time so I can get as good of performance from this barrel as I did for my first one.

Trying to prepare for the next season and remove any chance that my misses are from worn out equipment!
