What’s goin’ on SGT Rock Army!? Welcome back to the show. Admin note: If you saw our announcement prior to this show, this will be our last show of the summer. We advise you to go watch that announcement for context if you don’t see content next Saturday.

Today’s show is all about the rock and metal we’ve grown up with. These songs were in every jukebox (sans a couple we added that have that 80’s sound from 2 bands on the show today) wherever we went to, from the arcade to the zoo food court and all places in between. Every song was on someone’s mix tape at the time, in the tape decks of the cars we drove, the motorcycles we rode, the boomboxes and the parties.

These are the songs that made us who we are as headbangers. We finish the show with one of our all-time favorite rock artists and we made you one helluva video for it that will make you hit that rewind button to watch again. That was the great thing about growing up GenX, the music, man. The best music that inspired the bands that are carrying on that torch to make music that the kids today will be saying the same thing we say about our music. This show is a great way for us to close out the summer for us. After our content crash we made the executive decision to say, “Fuck it, we need a break. We’ve been going at this for 2 plus years.” And when you’re working so close with your friends and tensions start to rise, and then something as catastrophic as our content crash, take a long break and come back to it after Labor Day.
