Occam’s Razor Gardening, Cooking & Canning Ep 78

Welcome. The zucchini canning yesterday was almost completely successful. I blew the bottom out of one jar because I should’ve changed the water between the 1st & 2nd batch. The jar was too cool for the temp change. You can see the result in the video.

The raised bed potatoes have reached their end and the carrots are within harvest time, so they’ll be thinned out soon.

The Japanese beetles must be done their life cycle ‘cause I haven’t seen any in a couple of days.

Squash is up 26% in price in Canadian grocery stores, so once again, the garden has paid off. The inflation created by our non-stop spending & money printing Liberal government has made healthy food a luxury, which is what mostly motivates the garden, other than you just don’t know what they’ve sprayed on the produce you buy in a store.

Butch now has 3 more flowers starting off the main Sunflower stock, and his live Butch Cam gets more hits per day and my garden videos. Go Butch!

Morning glories are becoming more regular, and the vine bore attacked pumpkin is still struggling getting enough nutrients from its noe root base I’m trying to get started.
