Celebration of Freedom

This week, as we celebrate our nation’s independence, we open the Word of God to remember the only freedom that truly lasts—freedom in Jesus Christ. In John 8, Jesus declares, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” We talk a lot about liberty in America, but until Christ frees you from the penalty and power of sin, you're still in bondage.
