Mumbai Horror Averted: Unattended Truck Rolls Into Bus Stop in Prabhadevi, Driver Flees Scene

Panic gripped Mumbai’s Century Bazaar area on August 7 when an unattended container truck rolled downhill and rammed into a bus stop in Prabhadevi. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though the bus stop suffered heavy damage and traffic along the Worli–Dadar route was severely disrupted.

Police said the truck was parked on a slope near Oberoi 360 West Tower in Worli during unloading without proper safety measures. It began moving on its own, crossed the road divider, and crashed into the bus stop. The driver reportedly jumped out and fled.

Dadar Police have booked him for negligence and are reviewing CCTV footage as part of their probe.
