Punk is not a common sight in China, but if you do stumble on a scene, chances are you’re in Wuhan. The city is known as the birthplace of Chinese punk, owing to its revolutionary history.

We visited Vox, one of the city’s most iconic punk venues, and met Zhu Ning, a founding member of China’s first punk band.
